Day by Day was founded in 2005 by Gerben Meijer, who has been running production Linux for more than two decades: storage, platforms, automation, and the faults nobody had explained yet.

Clients are mostly mid-sized companies that run their own infrastructure, across automotive, healthcare and technology. We work on-site in the Netherlands and Belgium, and remotely worldwide. Client names stay off this page; yours would too.

Engagements run from a single migration to years of platform support. They start with one problem or change: a platform review, a migration, an automation rollout, an upgrade, or a fault that keeps coming back. Scope and the finished result are agreed before the work starts; from there it runs through diagnosis or design, implementation, and handover.

Pricing follows the nature of the work: a fixed price per project where the result can be defined up front, or an hourly rate where it cannot.

What you get depends on the work: a written design, the change carried through, automation your team can maintain, and documentation written for the people who will use it. Where you want continuity, we stay on the platform. Where you want independence, you get that too — the work is handed over in a state your own team can run and change without us.
